finally.

Finally.

FINALLY.

i managed to alter my proxies to access blogger!

shouldn't have dwelled into proxies too much...

anyway, just finished my cell analogy... actually, not really. finished it the night before. realised that i wrote so much jargon that probably only yu peng, shen hao and mr gee should understand... after that, it reduced from 3 pages to 1, without all the other jargon and gibberish.

sigh, kinda late for this post but...

zettai zettai must write about ORIENTATION '09!

haha, my 1Astra so cute (the guys sometime quite irritating though). first day see their lost faces is like 'ahaha, they look so cute with the lost faces'. first 1A student i saw was this guy with a pair of white specs. he's called jerrold. anyway, i guided him to his class and that was probably it after that.

assembly at parade square.

stupid 3hour talk right after O.o

brought them to class and played some simple ice breakers. splat and whacko was really fun. especially when people started having targets to sabo xD they were still remotely quiet though. taught them the simple ooi and kermama cheers.

mr teo, a new history teacher was their form teacher. pretty cheery looking person. hopefully the class loves him.

day was quite short and they went home a short while after ice breakers.

day 2 was slightly better. they started cheering more loudly. but they emoed pretty much early in the morning. okay, maybe not emo, more like still sleepy.

played some outdoor games. there was one where terrence taught them the infamous 'mook' cheer.

sigh.

doomsday.

afterwards, Astra got so addicted to that cheer that i just couldn't be bothered much anymore. they even went to write mook on every window pane that they could reach at their class...

utter shock.

totally.

anyway, they were told to start preparing their item for the concert, their banner and their identity. their banner was really beautiful. and the effort they put into the skit on the last day was really touching.

there was some conflict here and there. and they were also pretty much solved on their own. i drew a picture of little red riding hood with their class name. guess i'll post it some other day since my time with the computer is pretty limited at the moment.

day 3 was cca orientation. we brought them around the school to look at all the performing arts cca, or in other words, CHAMPS cca. with sports cca being the exception. EDS was the one i felt that my class enjoyed most. the relatively loud and appreciative laughter was prove of that.

some stayed back to do banner decoration after that. sadly, they were locked out of their class... so i accompanied them until they were done. how nice of me. speaking of nice, i realised on day 2 that i didn't fully dedicated myself to their class. the feelings that i had for 1H last year was somewhat missing when i took 1A this year... so i decided to love them as wholeheartedly as i had for Helea. it took me one night's resolute commitment to acheive that. but at the very least, i did, i hope.

day 4 was the trip to ECP. after simple briefing, each class was to do a cheer before they left for ECP. then were so 'LOUD' that my eardrums were about to die from their cheers man. 'really' loud. although Astra was the last to go, i bet their cheer made its way all the way to the 1D's ears.

we took a picture at ECP, and i had to bid my 1A peeps farewell for a moment while being station master for station six. unfortunately, my class didn't really had the time to go to my station, but i guess they had fun all the same.

the trip back to ECP was pretty funny too. we kept marching for no apparent reason, going 1-2-3-4, with a stamp of the foot on every count of 4. we arrived at school way before schedule and had even more time for concert preparations!

concert night. the last couple of hours before the finale of the orientation. jia rong came super early and went around with me to invade other classes. it was until much later did any other 1A peeps appear in class.

Astra went first for the concert item. quite unfortunate, but jia rong suddenly fell ill during dinner. he went home with his parents after that. he was having one of the lead roles for the skit too. what was the role? "A Wolf named Mook". wow, what a good name for a wolf... anyway, i took over the role of the wolf, so it literally became what the role's name was.

as expected, 1A went crazy upon knowing. anyway, after the performance, there was some crazy paparazi session. wye inn kept taking zi-lian pictures, so i just had to play along xD

they even started taking videos of me =.=

ridiculous man. really.

totally nuts.

anyway, Astra won the best banner award! heh, actually it doesn't matter who wins. cos the prizes are actually the same. DHS is practising equality you see. <--- fabrication

bid farewell to all of them.

popped balloons afterwards. new record for myself, 5 balloons in 2s.

school formally starts after that, with my homework stuck in my bag over the weekend cos it was hidden in 1A's class on friday night and the GO was closed so i had no more excess to the classroom keys... lucky homework could be downloaded from dhs.mail and moodle.

days were boring, until friday when i took my EDS audition together with the other year 1s. quite a number of 1A peeps went for the auditions. really happy that so many of them wanted to go. saw raey too, someone who resented me with a variable value (i'm writing it this way cause i don't know how much she resents me). gave her a few nods to signify that i'm not here to cause any trouble whatsoever.

we were told to do tableaus. i realised that vanessa spelt it wrongly. she wrote tablo. anyway, it doens't matter since we got the idea pretty well. i guess my group's performance was kinda special. instead of a practical, sad to happy or happy to sad, i decided to go with a simultaenous transition. at least it shows something different than the standard way of doing things.

it was a little fun to look at how the juniors speak after mr ken asked them to convince him why they should join EDS.

jia rong said i was pretty daring. i just told him that mr ken did say that we could "dramatize" afterall. he was saying that he would've done something like that if he had interpreted mr ken's words my way.

anyway, i found jia rong's response better than the other 4 year ones in my group. for he was much more louder and confident than the others.

sylvia and was it amanda; waved at me as i walked out the black box room. went home with the rest after that. met kar man and ai ling (unsure of the name) along the way. they went for dance auditions. do hope they can get in the cca of their choice.

watched code geass: lelouch of the rebellion over the weekends and rushed off some due homework for the next week. must really thank wei ting for this recommendation. but after watching episode 14 of R1, i almost lost my mind.

must seem pretty shocking to other people cause it's just an anime afterall. i'll talk more on this later.

went to paya lebar to meet up with my fellow F.O.C.kers for cookie baking today. it was quite a fun and at the same time disgusting day.

we went to buy stuff at paya lebar's shop and save and sheng siong first. took bus 30 to kembangan afterwards. arrived at jia ying's super big house.

started our first batch of cookies. we tested out two first.

burnt. lol, slightly.

tasted it.

not too shabby.

so we decided on making the rest, ensuring that they didn't go all black in the oven by sitting down, facing the oven. seems like the kind of zero motion tv that you may have in the oven. best thing was, there's only one programme on air called, "Cookie Baking".

had lunch with an awkward silence every now and then.

continued cookie making.

claire and cassandra arrived.

next thing i knew was that claire opened the lid of the cookie container and touched 8 of the cookies with her bare hands.

*jaw drops & eyes bulges*

sigh. i'm quite the hygiene freak when it comes to cooking things like that cause i won't want the consumer to get food poisoning. well, she claims that she did wash her hands so i guess it's fine.

hopefully.

while waiting for the cookies to bake, i asked claire if she was scared of loneliness (pretty random on my post but i'm sure those who were present in the cookie making session knows how this started). she was like 'how did you know?' and i just stated the reason.

she asked me about what i'm afraid and i told her to guess. lots of randomness going on. so she asked for a clue. i said it starts with L.

she still doesn't know.

gave her another. ends with S.

she still doesn't know.

gave her another. one of it's middle letters is O.

she was like "LOS?" then "loss?". lol, like who would fear Los Angeles... =.=

and this fear connects with episode 14 of code geass: lelouch of the rebellion R1. those who really want to find out why, just watch this anime and you'll understand.

next claire and cassandra both asked 'who' that i'm scared of losing.

sigh.

it doesn't always have to be a 'who'.

the thing that i'm actually scared of losing is a 'what'

a keychain.

given to me when i was exactly 13 years old.

and had given me very fond memories.

which the hand who gave me the keychain gave me inspiration for literature.

sigh.

claire and cassandra kept asking who gave it to me. such busybodies... i downright refused to tell them.

after the second shift came, we were almost done with all the cookies already. we played the wii afterwards. it was damn retarded for the first part. boxing totally tired me out. played tennis and other stuff too.  there was this mario soccer in which i owned clarissa's score with jia ying's brother. in total, i got my wonderful 8 CIP hours. with the addition of the day of sales, getting 10 CIP hours should be pretty easy. that just means 90 more CIP hours for this year so that i can get a guaranteed 5 cca points this year.

ate at mcdonalds afterwards. the auntie at the counter must be deaf, i repeated my order thrice to her and she still gave me fillet-o-fish with tartar sauce... totally deaf. went back home afterwards and bathed.

and now i'm here posting after fixing issues with my proxies. guess i should be able to post actively from now on.

3F.O.C.kers rock on.
