Yay, back from camp. Wasn't too bad I guess... In fact it was fun! Yay(:

First day had Physical Training xD We had to do all the athletic stunts and the obstacle course rocks! Commando crawl was easy i guess, got itchy all over later when karmen poured the whole lot of detergent on me O.o had wash up later and so forth. Slept in the hall at night.

Second day start quite early. Around a few hours past midnight. We had nightwalk which was kinda funny. Shing Chun fell into the drain xD Quite a few people were pissed at having to wake up at such an unearthly hour xD lucky people who don't require sleeping that much like me could still bear with it :D Don't really remember every event after that, guess it was either boring or it's just that i can't remember D: Well, Chief Eunice and Timothy, 2 captains, Charles and Joel and last but not the least 2 instructors, Gevin and Mei Qi came over to gather us at the train station. Saw Chief Veron from my Year 2 level camp too! Got on the train to kuala lipis that night.

Third day started off in the midst of a heavy rain, it was so cold that me + my brown jacket was still not enough the fend off the chill D: we stood there from 2:30am to about 4:30am before the rain simmered down. I swear that i could see the trees in the distance starting to uproot O.o Went to the hotel for some short sleeping hours before going for breakfast. The hotel owns man. Instead of sleeping, the guys in my room went to play poker and we bet for poledance time, in terms of seconds xD So the events went on for a while, i don't really remember what happened on that day but what i do remember is that Mei Qi, which was Coewa's instructor said something which really pisses me off. How could she say that "ALL" year 2s and year 3s from our major were taking the year 4s for granted and that when we answer her questions, she said we were just picking our answers off from "textbooks". Doubting our leadership is enough, but i TOTALLY disagree that EACH and EVERYONE of us have such a weak stand at being a leader. Makes me wonder where she gets her answers from. I mentioned this to Dyaruu when Coewa split up for their individual debriefs with their group leaders. My group leaders were Xingqi and Rachel. So when Rachel asked if anyone wanted to say anything, well, Nicole started talking about how she was contented with our progress, although i could DEFINITELY hear that she was disappointed after hearing what Mei Qi said. Well, we all felt quite emo but i just didn't like to see Dyaruu so put down thanks to what Mei Qi said so I said my views out too. I was telling just how wrong she was when she said we referred to "textbook" answers and how we keep relying on our seniors; i mean, how many of us really do feel that we rely on our seniors? if we really do keep relying on our seniors, then how do we manage to pull through Year 1 Orientation '08 without our seniors along us all the time? Also, if she says we got our answers from "textbooks" then where the does she gets HER answers from. When i said that, some people smiled, laughed, whatever. But what i really want to point out is that what our answers hold come from our experiences that we attained or the knowledge that our seniors shared with us. NOT SOME DUMB "TEXTBOOK" that she says we have. If our experiences are nothing but "textbook" answers, they what the does her experiences represent? wouldn't they be "textbook" answers too? By the way, i'm writing this post based on how i felt on each individual day so if you feel that i am ranting, i actually am xD After i said all those, i could see that everyone stared to think a little more. Which reminds me of how much Mei Qi kept telling us to think about our role as leaders. She came into our individual tribes afterwards to say that she "didn't want to train a batch of people who rely on others". To think she got the cheek to say that when she wasn't with us 3/4 of the time. Well, after a short while later, everyone went back to their hotel rooms, except some EXCO members and me. At first, I wanted to have a "nice" chat with Mei Qi, but then after i listened in to the EXCO members' conversation and the instructors' conversation, i decided to talk to her tomorrow cause i learnt something new from their conversations and so, i went back to my room to continue our game of poker :D

Fourth day, we went to some highland area on some cool truck. Extremely fun. It's like a rollercoaster ride just that at a slower speed but with better people with you :D Joel was called the suay-kia by Chief Timothy cause whichever truck he sat in, the people on it had to push the truck on some slopes Dx poor thing. We reached the place with insects flying all over. We were then warned about the leeches in the area. Some people quite freaked out; i won't mention who for privacy reasons. I was kinda excited and purposely not wear long pants for most of the stay there, sadly, at the end of the trek and all, i still didn't get a leech bite D: well, after trekking, i didn't bath cos the toilet was just horrible. i just washed up a little and just when i reached for my towel and started swiping some dirt off my pants, i got stung by a bee on my hand. ULTRA pain!!! i still have the scar on my hand, though it's really small. So, after treatment, i had a REALLY LONG chat with Mei Qi. Very very very long. It practically lasted for the whole washup/bathing time. I told her all the things i said to my tribe the previous night. She gave me answers too. But for reasons not to be known by other readers of my blog such as strangers, i shall not say everything that she told me. She told me this, "that the reason why you were upset the way you all were was because when i doubted your leadership, you already have doubts about it yourselves". When she said that, i disagreed openly saying my view in return, questioning her about her leadership too. So she told me loads of other stuff with people looking at us every now and then as though i was trying to flirt with an instructor. I told her something else about myself to make things easier to understand where i am coming from but for i like to keep my own personality matters to myself, i shall not say what i told her about myself and leave you to guess. I remember telling Rendall the same thing too. Hopefully he remembers what I said and I hope Mei Qi does too. Anyway, despite those "suspicious" looks i got from others, i didn't really care, well, it was a serious conversation after all. Both of us hardly smiled in the whole conversation. Haha, who would think that the enthu me could get so serious? Makes me wonder xD We had campfire preparations after the washup/bathing time or for some, it was palying in the river time xD which i so unfortunately drop my glasses in the gaps between the wooden planks on the bridge. Lucky me, the instructor charles found it and returned it to me :D So we continued our campfire preparations. It was quite humorous later when Mei Qi came over for debrief again. Well, actually, it's because she mentioned quite a number of things that only she and I know of. Well, she mentioned about asking us to think more about our leadership but commended that we have drastically improved from what she saw of us last night. We slept near a cave-like structure after that.

Fifth day, everyone just had breakfast, prepared our luggage and got back on the nice truck coaster back down the highland :D i remember the lawyer suite thing based on Kiat Shing's inability to keep his poker face that something serious happened that happened in Singapore while we were enjoying ourselves in Kuala lipis. Damn funny man. A primary school student choked on a nail and fell into a comma due to some inadequate operations handled before the poor boy arrived at the hospital. Yay, Coewa won! out of the total sum of $500, 000 to be compensated to the boy's family, Coewa only had to pay $100, 000! Yay! There was also something in which gillian called up 5 volunteers from each tribe to taste something "special". LOL xD I drank that something special Dx Water cotaminated with curry powder. Tastes quite weird D: Had campfire after that with some very loud music played outside. Damn cool. Went out to high myself up for a while before going for practice xD Finally, we learnt the frog cheers which were damn funny la, together with some balance game in which me and shaun screwed up big time xD overall it was fun :D campfire performance was quite funny. Daniel and Shanisca kept doing the Mama so fat cheer. Damn funny la. Did the SC dance and then had a whole emo session to ourselves before going back to pack up everything and prepare for our return to Singapore. During the emo session, "At the Beginning" was played and it was a really good time when i started mouthing out some of the meaningful lyrics to Mei Qi, quite hilarious but i think Mei Qi understood what I meant :D she gave me a wink and an okay sign which i guess should be a confirmation. The trip back to Singapore on the train was sleepy i guess. Quite a lot of people still emoing quite a bit.

After coming back to Singapore, it was almost time for "back to school" D: I went with a few seniors for lunch at vivo and then went home myself on a taxi cause the taxi driver refused to carry 5 people at once. That ends my post for the SC Kuala Lipis Survivor 2008 :D

Back to school was the Electives. I had the CEPP first which was boring. Just boring with some interactions every now and then. that's about it i guess. Did modules 1 to 3. Argh, it's just boring, but i do admit i learnt a great deal about self-protection when there's a crisis at home xD

Wow, SC camp post is LONG while the CEPP elective one SHORT xDD

Done for today:D tata(:
